These terms govern your use of Pro Park Guide ("the App"), a free, independent visitor guidance tool. By using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. We've written these in plain English because legal documents shouldn't require a law degree to understand.
1. What Pro Park Guide Is
Pro Park Guide is a free web application that helps theme park visitors plan their day more effectively. It provides:
- Real-time wait time information sourced from public APIs.
- AI-powered route suggestions and crowd-aware guidance.
- Skip-the-line cost analysis to help you decide whether premium queue options are worth it.
- Park maps, showtimes, and dining information.
The App is provided free of charge. No account is required to access core features. Optional sign-in is available for personalized features but is never mandatory.
2. Independence & Non-Affiliation
Pro Park Guide is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any theme park operator, including but not limited to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld, or any other park or entertainment company.
All park names, attraction names, and related trademarks are the property of their respective owners. We use them solely for the purpose of identifying locations and providing visitor guidance.
3. Advisory Only — No Guarantees
Important: All information and recommendations provided by Pro Park Guide are for informational and advisory purposes only.
Specifically, we do not guarantee:
- The accuracy or timeliness of wait time data (conditions change rapidly in real parks).
- That following our route suggestions will result in shorter waits or better outcomes.
- The availability of any ride, show, restaurant, or park feature.
- That skip-the-line cost analysis reflects current pricing (prices change without notice).
- That AI-generated guidance is always correct or optimal.
You should always verify critical information (park hours, ride closures, weather alerts) through official park channels before making decisions that affect your safety or plans.
4. Your Responsibilities
When using Pro Park Guide, you agree to:
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
- Not attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or programmatically access the App's data or services.
- Not use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others.
- Not submit content through the AI chat that is illegal, harmful, or inappropriate.
- Exercise your own judgment when following any recommendation — you are responsible for your own safety and decisions at the park.
If you are a parent or guardian, you are responsible for supervising your children's use of the App, consistent with our COPPA compliance practices.
5. Intellectual Property
The App's design, code, algorithms, and original content are the property of Pro Park Guide's creators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without permission.
Wait time data is sourced from ThemeParks.wiki, a free and open API. We gratefully acknowledge their contribution to the theme park community.
6. AI-Generated Guidance
Pro Park Guide uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized recommendations. You should understand that:
- AI responses are generated in real time and may occasionally contain errors or outdated information.
- AI guidance is filtered for child-safe content, but no filter is perfect.
- AI recommendations are based on available data patterns and may not account for your specific circumstances (mobility needs, dietary restrictions, etc.).
- We include a "why this recommendation" explanation with AI suggestions so you can evaluate the reasoning yourself.
The AI does not have access to your personal information, browsing history, or any data beyond what you provide in the current chat session.
6b. Subscriptions & Payments
Pro Park Guide offers optional premium subscriptions. Core features remain free. If you choose to subscribe:
- Payment processing: All payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details.
- Billing cycle: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
- Refunds: Because the service is digital and delivered immediately, refunds are generally not provided. However, if you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the service, contact us within 7 days and we will work with you to resolve it, which may include a pro-rata refund at our discretion.
- Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change affects their next renewal.
By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide through Stripe for the recurring subscription fee.
7. Limitation of Liability
Pro Park Guide is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pro Park Guide and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use of or inability to use the App.
- Any inaccuracy in wait times, recommendations, or other information.
- Any decisions you make based on the App's guidance.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
Since the App is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed zero dollars ($0.00).
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and display a notice within the App. The in-app legal acceptance dialog will re-appear when the terms version changes, ensuring you are always aware of the current terms.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
